· Service alert for owners of 1994-1997 Accord
|

Honda has put out a service alert for 1994-1997
Accord DX, LX or SE with air conditioner.
These vehicles have a problem with an
exhaust manifold bracket which causes the engine block to crack.
There is a preventative repair that can
be made which costs approximately $125. If you wait until the engine
block is cracked, the repair costs between $500 and $900 - and you still
have a cracked block.

To receive a AAA quality service award, a repair shop must
meet extremely stringent standards:
- no member complaints,
- a minimum 99% customer satisfaction rating,
(ours was 100%)
- no facility deficiencies during the Auto Club's
detailed annual inspection of the shop, and
- no facility deficiencies during bimonthly shop
reviews.
"Our quality service award truly
represents the 'best of the best.' Only 4 percent of the repair shops in
the program qualify for this prestigious award," says Ed Lindsay,
program development manager.
The award-winning shops were chosen from
a field of nearly 650 Southern California AAR facilities, which are
independent businesses regularly inspected by the Auto Club.
